Directions to Acono Ridge Phase Two: Woodridge Park

From Grand Bazaar, turn onto the Uriah Butler Highway and proceed north (past the Priority Bus Route). Turn right (east) at the traffic lights onto the Eastern Main Road, (Landmark: SBCS Champ Fleurs Campus on the LHS) and proceed east (in the direction of Curepe). Pass WASA St. Joseph on the RHS and drive for about 5km kilometres. Turn left (north) onto Abercromby Street (a steep incline- “the St. Joseph hill”), which is obliquely opposite the site of the old St. Joseph Police Station. (Do not pass the St. Joseph Mosque or the Eastern Credit Union/ “La Joya”).

Drive up “the St. Joseph hill”, pass the St. Joseph R.C. Church on the RHS and the St. Joseph Police Station on the LHS. Drive for about six minutes, cross the St. Joseph “Silver Bridge”, pass the Maracas Filling Bay on the LHS and entrance to the Riverside Road on the right, and continue over two more bridges to Poolside Two (Landmark: St. Cecelia R.C. Church on the LHS).

Continue on the Maracas Royal Road, pass Maracas Gardens on the LHS, Mountain View on the RHS, Valley View on the LHS and the University of the Southern Caribbean (USC, formerly Caribbean Union College), which is about three minutes from Valley View. Turn right (north) onto Acono Road after losing sight of USC and immediately after crossing a small bridge (eighth bridge from the EMR). A playground is located obliquely opposite the Acono Road. Continue on the Acono Road past Riverine Road on the LHS and Belle Vue hill on the RHS. Cross a large bridge and follow the road which runs alongside the Acono River. Pass a section of road with metal railing on the side, keep left where the road forks in two (Caurita Junction, do not veer right into Caurita Road).

Enter Acono Ridge on the next left, less than minute from Caurita junction, proceed up the incline and turn left at the crest. The incline on the right is the entrance to Acono Ridge Phase Two.
